WORK SEARCH ROUNDTABLES

These sessions make them the longest, continuously meeting job clubs in West Michigan–8000+ people have attended sessions since 1999–at two locations on different days of the week.  The sessions are open to the public and provide ongoing networking, support, group problem solving, and coaching for individuals during periods of work search and career transition.

Several TV and radio stations as well as The Grand Rapids Press reported on this weekly event during the past decade, including a feature report on WOOD-TV 8 in 2009.

=> WEDNESDAY every other week, 9:30-11:30 am St Robert of Newminster Parish, 6477 Ada Dr. SE, Ada, Michigan.  The meeting is in the Parish Adult Lounge. =>THURSDAY every week, 9:00-11:30 am, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Grand Rapids, 47 Jefferson SE (except major holidays on Thursdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, and when New Year’s is a Thursday).  Individuals as asked to RSVP for the  weekly event by going to www.grnow.com, clicking on the calendar date, then the event, and using the “RSVP” function at the bottom of the screen.  More information by calling (616) 459-1456, or check out their website, http://westminstergr.org/.

NetWORK 2 NewWORK

These every-other-month orchestrated networking events in Grand Rapids, Michigan are volunteer-led and include presentations and seminars which offer information and skill-building not only on the basics of network, but also exploring new careers, using social media, interviewing, and working with recruiters among other topics.  More information can be found at our website, www.nw2nw.org.
