EaRN Work Search Roundtables

...working together to help each other find work operationalizing Matthew 7:12: “do for others as you’d have them to do for you.”

These sessions make them the longest, continuously   meeting job clubs in West Michigan–attendance of 13,000+ at 1300+ sessions since 1998–at two ‘venues’  Wednesday mornings.  The sessions are open to the public and provide ongoing networking, support, group problem solving, and coaching for individuals during periods of work search and career transition. 

Several TV and radio stations as well as The Grand Rapids Press reported on this weekly event during the past decades, including a feature report on WOOD-TV 8 as well as a commendation for the service by the White House’s Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships Deputy Director in March 2012 at their West Michigan Job Clubs Initiative Symposium held at a Church in Gaines Township, Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan.

♦ Hosted WEDNESDAY every week, 9:30-11:30 am by facilitators based at two alternating locations:

NetWork 2 NewWork – not currently scheduling events

These orchestrated networking events in Grand Rapids, Michigan are volunteer-led and include presentations and seminars. Premised on the idea that we are all self employed, the event offers information and skill-building not only on the basics of networking, but also exploring new careers (including self-employment), using social media, interviewing, and working with recruiters among other topics.

The event format and focus is currently under review; no events currently scheduled. More information can be found at our website, www.nw2nw.org.

The EaRN ministry continues to expand, “helping people find work and stay employable by discovering their calling”.
