Work Search Roundtables

These sessions make them the longest, continuously meeting job clubs in West Michigan–6500+ people have attended sessions–at the now three locations on different days of the week.  The sessions are open to the public and provide ongoing networking, support, group problem solving, and coaching for individuals during periods of work search and career transition. 


=> TUESDAY every week the original Roundtable meets at host Spring Arbor University’s Grand Rapids location, 2620 Horizon Dr SE, in Cascade Office Park north of 28th Street, east off of Patterson Avenue, and west of I-96.  The time of the meeting is 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 50 weeks per year (except when Tuesday is a national holiday–December 24 and 31, in 2013).  This Tuesday weekly group is an EaRN Affiliate ministry of Redeemer Evangelical Covenant Church, 6951 Hanna Lake Avenue SE, Caledonia.

Several TV and radio stations as well as The Grand Rapids Press reported on this weekly event during the past decade. WOOD-TV 8 did a report on the Work Search Roundtables in early 2009. There’s the link: Networking is the key.

Individuals as asked to RSVP for the Spring Arbor University-hosted weekly event by going to, clicking on the calendar date, then the event, and using the “Register Now” function at the bottom of the screen.  A donation is suggested ($5) for each week’s session at the SAU-GR location.  However, for attendees who are coming by referral from other EaRN Employment and Resource Network ( Affiliate organizations, there is no donation expectation.

=> THURSDAY every week, 9:00-11:30 am, at EaRN Affiliate Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Grand Rapids, 47 Jefferson SE (except major holidays on Thursdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, and when New Year’s is a Thursday).  Individuals as asked to RSVP for the  weekly event by going to, clicking on the calendar date, then the event, and using the “RSVP” function at the bottom of the screen.
