Writing Resume or LinkedIn Profile
Resumes, often dull chronologies, must excite readers to take action—call or email for an interview—unfortunately most resumes don’t do this. This service puts you in partnership with your consultant to produce in ~3 hours developing a document from scratch focused on getting the prospective employer to contact you. Targeted Cover Letter Writing & Coaching
Letter writing to accompany a resume must engage and excite readers to want more, both a comparable and stimulating resume and then to interview you, the candidate, showing clear you match the employer’s stated needs. This service includes an information-gathering interview and coaching (usually one hour) so that you learn the skill. Available in person and/or Zoom, MS Teams or Whatsapp.

Interview Practice & Coaching
“Practice makes perfect,” as the saying goes. Those investing in rehearsal beginning with the analysis of your match to their stated needs improves your presentation dramatically. Crucial is the ability to tell stories of situations you dealt with, what you did, and what the outcome was. We coach help you prepare. Includes video recording and review; a second videotaping and review, often exponentially improving your delivery. Available in person and/or Zoom, MS Teams or Whatsapp.

Work Search Roundtables & NetWork 2 NewWork events
These Work Search Roundtables highly regarded two-hour career and job transition support group Roundtables meet weekly in Grand Rapids, Michigan area ($5 USD donation suggested per session). Currently the Roundtables are free being offered each Wednesday morning via a secure Zoom meeting–limited to 20 people each session, alternating Wednesday morning meetings in Ada at St. Robert of Newminster Church and Westminster Presbyterian Church facilities . NetWork 2 NewWork events coach and assist in development of true networking skills. From 2012 through mid-2019 they occurred every other month, usually during the 3rd week of January, March, May, July, September and November at various venues around Greater Grand Rapids. The event format and schedule is being redesigned to fit our current physical sequestering and avoiding group gathers to stem the COVID-19 spreading, likely via Zoom, MS Teams or Whatsapp. More information can be found under GROUP SERVICES.
